Spring Transfer Orientation is designed for new transfer students beginning their studies at UL Lafayette during the Spring Semester. During Orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet with other incoming students, learn about important university resources, discuss the transfer credit articulation process, and if needed meet with an academic advisor in preparation of registering for classes.
|Session Name||Orientation Date|
|Spring Session||November 21, 2017|
|Late Spring Session||January 4, 2018*|
*Transfer students who schedule classes at Late Spring Orientation will incur a $50 late course registration fee that will be applied to their Tuition and Fees. Transfer students are encouraged to schedule classes before this date or attend and schedule classes at the November orientation to avoid this late fee.
Orientation registration now available. Orientation packets were mailed to admitted Spring semester students beginning October 18, 2017. Students admitted on or after this date will receive their Orientation packet within one week of admission to the university.
There are two options for Orientation registration and Academic Advising:
1. Students who meet with their Academic Advisor before Orientation
Transfer Students will receive the name of their academic advisor in their Orientation packet. We encourage Transfer Students to meet with their academic advisor before orientation to be cleared to register for classes. After advising, visit orientation.louisiana.edu/register for step-by-step instructions on how to register for Orientation.
After registering for Orientation and meeting with your academic advisor, your holds will be lifted and you can then log into ULink to register for classes (Guide to Registering for Classes (PDF)).
2. Students who wish to meet with their Academic Advisor during Orientation
Transfer Students wishing to meet with an academic advisor during Transfer Orientation, should visit orientation.louisiana.edu/register for step-by-step instructions on how to register for Orientation. The advising appointment time is built into Orientation.
The fee for Transfer Student Orientation is $50.00 and includes all Orientation program materials, lunch, program facilitation, and a Ragin' Cajun spirit shirt.
