Our Staff


Lauren Sarver

Lauren received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2006 and her Master's of Business Administration in Spring 2016, both from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She has been employed at the University since 2008 and worked in Admissions and Recruitment before becoming Director of Orientation in 2013. Lauren and her husband Charles are proud parents of a daughter, Olivia, and two pups, Lola and Lily. Lauren’s primary responsibilities include New Student Orientation and the training and development of the Student Orientation Staff.

Kyle Sarver
Associate Director

Kyle received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2010 and completed his MBA in Fall 2014. His involvement and leadership in numerous organizations on campus during his undergraduate career led him to a Graduate Assistantship in the Office of the First-Year Experience; a position he held for a year and half before moving full-time to the Office of Orientation in 2014. Kyle's primary responsibilities include the university's SOUL Camp programs and working with the SOUL Camp Student Mentor Staff.

Emily Covington
Assistant Director

Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations degree in 2016 and her Master of Science in Communication in Fall 2018, both from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She began working for the University as a graduate assistant, first for the Department of Communication and then the Graduate School. After completing her Master’s degree, Emily moved into the Office of Orientation as Assistant Director. Emily’s primary responsibilities include Parent & Family Orientation and working with the Parent Orientation Leaders.


Theresa Neef
Business Coordinator

Theresa received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2007. She assists with fiscal administration for the department, supervises student employees, coordinates projects and provides information about our programs to prospective and incoming students.
