Thank you for your interest in joining either the Student Orientation Staff (SOS) or the SOUL Camp Mentor Staff! SOS and SOUL Camp are two of the premiere student leadership groups at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Selection to either staff is extremely competitive, and those selected represent the best and brightest of our university.
The Student Orientation Staff works to facilitate our Orientation programs, welcoming over 6,000 new students & parents to campus each year and collectively volunteering over 15,000 hours each spring and summer.
SOUL Camp Mentors facilitate SOUL Camp, our Extended Orientation program that supplements New Student Orientation. Camp is designed to provide incoming Freshmen with the skills and networks to help them develop leadership skills and Ragin' Cajun spirit.
