Spring Transfer Orientation
Spring Transfer Orientation is designed for transfer students beginning their studies at UL Lafayette during the Spring Semester. During Orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet other incoming students, learn about university resources, discuss important tips for a successful transition to college life, meet with an academic advisor in your area of study and register for classes (if not completed prior to orientation). Members of our Student Orientation Staff will help you understand what it means to be a student on our campus and will guide you through the experience.
Orientation Dates
Session Name | Orientation Date |
---|---|
Spring Session 1 | November 26, 2024 |
Spring Session 2 | January 9, 2025 |
Please note: Students who register for classes after the Spring tuition payment deadline of January 15, 2025 will incur a $50 late course registration fee that will be applied to their tuition and fees. Students are encouraged to register for classes before the payment deadline to avoid this late fee.
Orientation Registration
Orientation registration and academic advising information will be e-mailed to Transfer students on October 28, 2024. If you were admitted for the Spring 2025 semester by this date and do not receive your e-mailed orientation packet on October 28, please email transfer@louisiana.edu. Transfer students admitted on or after October 28 should expect to receive their e-mailed packet within one week of admission.
Academic Advising
Once you receive your orientation registration email, you may reach out to your Academic Advisor and they may be able to meet with you at that time, or you can schedule an appointment for advising. An academic advisor will review previously earned course credits, discuss options for next semester and remove your advising hold. The transfer advisor directory can be found in ULink under Registration, Get Advised or here.
Orientation Fee
The fee for Transfer Spring New Student Orientation is $60.00 and includes parking, program implementation, all program materials, food, a Ragin’ Cajuns spirit shirt, lanyard, pen and bag. Your Orientation fee must be paid online via ULink before attending orientation. Click here for payment instructions.
